How to pick the right orientation

Getting frustrated on whether your selecting the right way round for your sofa? Here’s how to know what is a right hand facing sofa and what is a left hand facing sofa. Some sofas are larger so we do tend to call them by the amount of seats either side of the corner from left to right. Below are some examples on what the large corner sofas look like and how to know which one to order.

Left Right Hand Facing

Every company is different on how they describe their corner sofas. We use the term ‘ Facing’ which means you are standing infront of the sofa looking at it. When talking about a corner, we say Right hand facing for example, this means as you look at the sofa in your room of choice, the corner / smaller side is on the right side as you look at it.

Larger Corners

Again these larger corner sofas are described as you look at them. You can see a 6 seater corner sofa as pictured to the left.

You describe from left to right. For example the top corner is a 3 corner 2. This means 3 seats to the left of the corner ( as you look at it) And 2 seats to the right. As the image below is a 2 corner 3.

The Longer Sofas

We offer a wide range of bespoke sofas and as great as large corner sofas are, some people are interested in sofas that are straight. Do you have a large narrow living room? Potentially 4 meters worth that could fit a sofa? That’s where we come in. We can design a sofa to almost any length, its very simple, you can tell us how long you want the sofa or how many seats and we can advise on the sizes we can do.
